The Joys of Progress.

It’s amazing to me how much more productive I am when I’m accountable to someone. It doesn’t really matter to me how much I lie to myself, but if I announce to the world, or better still someone I know and respect, that I will accomplish something, it suddenly becomes far more important to make good on my words. Hence this blog and hence my shiny new accountabili-buddy (essentially a friend who knows my goals and waves them disapprovingly at me if I don’t get them done).

So, in the spirit of progress, I have pretty much finished the first spread for my new book and I finally updated my website as you can see by clicking on the “work” link at the top of the page.

It’s nice to get things done…

  1. Oh I see what you did there! Nice job.

The plot is thickening… boy, this “fisherman” has about as much suspense and mystery as a season of Lost. Yeah, no kidding. Why is the ship sinking? Where is the fisherman? Is Claire really dead?

The questions keep coming. I’m excited to say the least.

  2. How sore are your eyes and hands after all that?

I’m excited to see where the fisherman goes from here (other than further down).

[...] In other unrelated news, keep checking out Steve Daoud’s illustration blog. He has produced two illustrations for us and a third is on the way. His latest story is about a fisherman. I loved ‘the Discontented Bear’ so I’m looking forward to how this one turns out… http://stephen-daoud.co.uk/blog/website-updates-and-maintenance/the-joys-of-progress/ [...]
